Security Task Manager provides advanced information about programs
and processes running on the computer.
Its like a souped up version of Hijackthis,
Security Task Manager displays detailed information about all running processes
(applications, DLL's, BHO's and services). For each process, it improves on Windows Task
Manager, providing:
File name and directory path, security risk rating, description, start time,CPU usage graph
embedded hidden functions, e.g. keyboard monitoring, browser supervision or manipulation
type of process e.g. visible window, systray program, DLL, IE-plugin, service
The Security Task Manager recognizes also virtual driver software, services, BHO and other
processes hidden from the Windows task manager.
When trying to find the problem proccess say from spyware, this program gives you detailed
info on where its from and what its doing, the rating system can give an indication of how
dangerous or harmless it is, shows you what text is in the file and if you are still not
shure about it then you hit the Google button which takes you to their web site where you
are told how many other people have questioned this file and how they rated it, as harmless
or dangerous.
And then, just to top that off you can Quarantine the process to see if it fixed your
problem, if not you can bring it back with no worries.
This is a very impressive bit of software, it shareware and paying the rego gets rid of the
nag screens
I LIKE IT
