I have to say this tool did not leave me with a warm and fuzzy.

First for the good points, It is small and there is no installation to it. All that is required is unzip it, and run it. And the interface is simple.

On the minus side, there are too many false positives, there is next to no configuration options, the log file writes down everything, including all the objects scanned, it missed fully half the objects on my system, and it is slow.

As for the false positives, the system Volume information, in the restore subdirectory, had malware present there, both before and after turning off system restore and rebooting. It reported Rock Password Resolver as being malware (it is a program used to recover lost passwords). It also reported several security programs, and testers as being malware including PSTools, which is just plain ludicrous. It also reported the same to some JAVA Development files that I have. Another program that it didn't like was thunderbird. That one, and the fact that it also classified GPG as malware is just plain inexcusable.

In my opinion this program is not for someone new to computers or to securing, cleaning/ recovering computers. If used, it should be at the direction, and with the help of someone more knowledgeable about such matters, as the results can be very misleading.

One other thing that really needs some work done to it, is the log file. At present, it logs everything, even the files that check out OK, right along with any problems, and there is no separating them.

As for the scores I gave this product, most of them are obvious from what I have written. The Customer support is really NA as I never dealt with them. The Product website got such a poor score because no where on that page does it tell you the free version only scans, and that is all. That should be in prominent letters, right out front.

I see what could become a very nice package for cleaning corrupted systems, but it needs much more polish.
