This program gave me lots of problems on an xp sp2 machine. When I tried to uninstall and reinstall to see if it helped, I could never get it to reinstall. I tried all the suggestions at the ZA forums and that the Techs FINALLY gave me. I also had to get special registry tool to try to remove leftover stuff as the leftovers were still affecting my computers behavior. Might work for others, but not on my machine.

ZoneLabs Zone Alarm

I ditched Zone Labs Pro after experiencing many problems on my XP machine, not the least of which included ZA''s failure to block trojan-generated traffic. (I replaced my AV program, too, but that''s for a different review.) From a user standpoint, ZA is either terribly simple (but not highly effective) or terribly annoying (but blocks more than desired). I like F-Secure far, far better.
