This is a great product that never gets mainstream reviews, and I never would have found it unless the manufacturer had used the dirty trick of selling it at the url - www.adaware.com   I found the product by accident, looking for Ad-Aware.  I was delighted to see how quickly it scanned my machine, and a little surprised to see that it wanted me to PAY in order to do the cleanup.   Well, I paid via paypal, it was 4.95 at the time, and within seconds my computer was free of spyware and popups. It was the BEST  five bucks I've ever spent.    The price has since gone up to $9.95 - and that's per year - but I happily pay it every time a customer comes in with a spyware problem.  This software just works.   It stops processes when it can, or gives instructions on how to run in Safe Mode.  It tells the consumer how to re-set the browser settings and even puts in a powerful realtime scanner.   And the customer service staff is great - they take ownership of problems and works with you via phone and email until your problems are resolved.    I use this product to clean machines that have been reported virus and spyware free by Norton, Ad-Aware and SpyBot S&D.   It's a must-have for a professional, and a sure bet for a home user.
