PocoMail

This is a little known, but very well implemented email client.
It has all the major features of Outlook Express, Thunderbird, and
Eudora, plus some. And, it's competitively priced. What's especially
nice is that I don't find myself wishing a certain feature was present,
as I would with the others. PocoMail is a functional melding of the
nicer features of most all other email clients. If it's useful and on
one of them, it'll most likely be in PocoMail. For example, compres-
sing folders is a feature I especially like in Thunderbird (and now
Eudora), keeping disk space usage frugal. Well PocoMail has it, too!

Sorting mail into different folders and moving mail around in folders:
does your client have it? Not all do, and if they do, it's not often
easy. It's a simple right click or menu option in PocoMail.

Multiple signatures are nice, but not always easy to specify, compose,
or use. PocoMail signatures are a snap!

Want to specify in detail how to respond with easy to use specifiers
for different portions of a message (sender, received time, sent time,
etc)? What type of encoding for which contact (who likes what)? Can't
do it with a lot of email clients; PocoMail does it and more.

Do you have multiple email accounts on/from different servers? No
problem! All can be received together or separate and PocoMail keeps
track of who's doing the replies!

Want to see what's on the server before you download? Maybe prefilter
so you don't waste time downloading dross which you have to clean up
(even if you have good antispam, you still have to clean your system!)
It's a snap with PocoMail. Just connect to the server and view headers
in a separate window on the server not on your system! Don't
like it, don't download it! And if you have a good preprocessing
application like MailWasher, you can view the content first, then
down load selectively. This is an especially nice feature. With
packages like MailWasher, you can purge what you don't want, but there
is a window of opportunity between cleaning with MailWasher and
actually doing a check mail with the email client (which downloads!)
that can allow a spurious nasty email to slip in. Not so with this
server connect facility. Only download what you've already seen with
MailWasher!

Do you worry about scripting. PocoMail has its own scripting language
so outside scripts are not a problem.

It's an email client you'll probably love. I do. It has most of the
features I like from other clients, few (if any) of the ones I don't!;)

Give it a try. You can always have your old client back!;)

My Score:

I use this and like it when it works properly . It STILL has bugs . Each release has them . Such as address book disappears and personal account disappears . I go as high as 5 stars because again , when it works , it works well which is 92 % of the time
