Compare Product Reviews in this ClassI rarely write reviews of anything. I do plenty of research and testing before a product stays with me. I want to forget about fiddling with it, I want it to be near-best-of-class at nowhere-near the price of best-of-class. A price-to-performance ratio is essential; once the overall balance is evaluated I want to possess something valuable and versatile. And only unless something exceptional comes my way do I actually tell the public-at-large about it.
I run Windows 2000 (more stable and more modern than NT4, less fluffy and less entrenched than XP) on an AMD Duron for basic computing: web-surfing, e-mail, groupware, music production, digital photography. I want something robust and powerful if need be. I want to spend my money and time on one thing that does what three competing things will do, and if I have to pay twice the price to acquire the features that three in concert will provide, then it is money and time well spent. I can also forget about it. I want the peak of the Q-factor...
Ewido takes the place of resident/on-demand: anti-virus, anti-trojan, anti-spyware, anti-tracking cookie programs. Quickly, efficiently, with depth, and with ease. It is superior design and technology.
I think it is innovative, forward-looking, and responsive, and the company does not cease to improve its product; I've used it for two years. And reviewers have implied this in more technical terms. And instead of usurping your current anti-virus software, it becomes a team-mate, compatible with virtually all security software, looking for malicious code in its own, unique way: two heads are better than one. It rose from relative obscurity because it was designed from the bottom upwards to reflect this ideal, and subsequently purchased by Grisoft (creators of AVG).
Ewido is without peer, and in a class of its own. Simply.
I do not have the funds to purchase a full-version (minimum, wage). If you use a modern Windows operating system, I urge you to make this investment. It is the platinum-standard anti-malware security suite that should have been included with Windows years ago. Make it happen; forget about the others.
Cheers,
Alejandro
