This review is actually done after using Prevx1. One change between this program and the old home version is the addition of a scanner. That was a very good idea. This program installed with no problems. There are 3 modes-abc,pro,and expert.Abc mode is for inexperienced users.I used the pro mode. The web links for discovered processes make this program easier to use.Prevx1 uses 2 running processes that used approximately 40,000k in my Task Manager. I did experience some slow-down at startup.Prevx1 scans running processes when it starts, which is a worthy trade-off in my opinion. One feature that I really like is the transparent noice box that tells what process starts or ends such as an updater, browser or XP's auto update service. The idea of community-based databases is not a new one,but I think it's a great feature. The uninstall-I used the uninstaller in the Prevx1 tab>Start>all programs.Unistalled with ease and left 4 traces. Not bad at all. The only negative I noticed was a few false positives.Even with community input, f/p's can happen with any program. The support was excellent for me.Overall,I enjoyed Prevx1 and think that it has improved with the new version and is worth checking out.

My Score:

SYMTRAYNOTIFY.EXE is the System Mechanic resident bot - it is not a dangerous program and you can ignore the alerts if you have installed System Mechanic on your system.
