     I really like Pest Patrol. I purchased Spyware X Terminator but I believe it is Pest Patrol since when upgrading you are always connected to the Pest Patrol website. Also, originally when researching before buying Spyware products, a review said it was repackaged Pest Patrol.
      Before Pest Patrol popups were a continual problem, adware all over the place and even dreaded problems like other virus usually in the area of browsing websites and getting bit. When we installed Pest Patrol the first scan showed literally dozens of problems with adware and other pests. Half the time the computers wouldn't even shut down properly or always go to incorrect websites. We have been plaqued a number of times by Home Search Assistent and others which are literally impossible to get rid of as they re-generate and you cannot get rid of them in the ADD/Remove programs list, impossible. Sometimes CW Shredder works, sometimes not. I've used buster and other programs also.
      The bottom line is Pest Patrol really has gotten rid of all the problems on our computers and we have no problems with it interferring or calling legitimate programs pests. One member here says Pest Patrol calls computercops a pest when he visits, we don't have that problem, we use WinME by the way. For my money, it is well worth it and you get free lifetime upgrades anytime you log on. We use it in conjunction with Norton Anti-Virus and we just don't ever have any more problems.
