I have ver. 4.0.0.2621, which is the most updated version and am extremely happy with it. Having said that, I too, did have a few technical problems with it at 1st but with the excellent help from PC Tools Tech support via emails, everything got worked out for the better. If you are a McAfee or Norton user, Yes, you will have conflicts between Spyware Doctor & them. I know as I used to be [note = Used 2 B] an avid McAfee user of the Security Center, for over 3 & 1/2 years. But after exploring many forums, including McAfee's, I chose SD over them. And a Very Good friend of mine still uses Norton & still puts up with the conflicts between his Spyware Doctor and Norton [he has a lot more patients than I do!] but I will stick to my story. SD is not immune to some false positives findings or technical problems but I challenge anyone to show me a program that doesn't, at some point. I have had the support techs work with me to resolve problems, treating me with 'Respect', listening to my complaints many times over & over and still work with me to get favourable end results. I can't say that for a lot of other Tech support with programs I've used! The most conflicts I had with SD were with McAfee's AV & Privacy Service [like McAfee's New Security Center won't install until you remove all other Anti-Spyware programs: SD, Lavasofts Ad Aware & SpyBots S&D] because they are not compatible with McAfee. Having McAfee tech support telling me that these programs are not effective enough or saying that they're Rouge programs, indicated to me that this was one company that had employees brainwashed and were 'Scared' of competitive programs! Not so with PC Tools SD Tech support, they were very receptive to any & all problems I encounter with SD on my computer, even admitting some of SD technical improvement being worked on would not solve all problems. Even to go as far as to help me with a few other technical problems on my computer, not related to SD but helping to keep a customer satisfied and to be able to enjoy using a Clean, Safe, Secure and Spyware Free home computer!
