Ah yes... the famous windows 98 and 98 second edition.

My first experience with windows 98 was very frustrating.
as soon as i spent my hard earned bucks on an upgrade it was replaced with windows 98se.
However it performed well on 486 class pcs with 16 mb ram..or more.
When I upgraded to 98se I enjoyed the upgraded driver base that supported child devices.
Pros: Ideal for stripdown net kiosks, home gaming and shell swapping.
Cons: Memory limit bugs that can be patched with the unofficial win98 sp series.

Overall a fantastic o.s. with great potentual to use a vast area of freeware games and applications available online.
