This program is a real disappointment for me. I love Registry Mechanic, but Spyware Doctor seems to have some conflicts with the other applications on my machine... even with the active components turned off. It also seems to think that some of my MVPS Hosts files are hijacked. Yes, they are hijacked by me! You would think that this would be obvious.

I won't be purchasing this one. I've had much better results from Spybot S&D, AdAware, and SuperAntispyware. Even the Comcast Toolbar spy scan has found more legitimate issues.

I didn't try the active scan component so I can't speak for its reliability.
