I agree Norton pro 2004 fell flat on their faces but I had no problem un-installing it and the firewall would not work properly. As I was talking to my ISP one day they said they could see me and norton wasn't doing jack. Norton waited until a trojan got in before it would tell you, oh yeah bye the way you've got a trojan. Zone Alarm which I am using now tells you a trojan is trying to get in and stops it dead in it's tracks. I never knew why it takes so long for norton to get installed when Zone Zlarn takes but a minute and you're done. It kinda makes you think what next? That's it? Great. And the customer service at norton needs alot of upgrading. Their CS really sucks, sort of like the program.

Norton AntiVirus Pro

My Score:

whoa..whoa.. slow down guys.. i dont know how you are working with your softwares, but i''m a guy who knows viruses all too well.. I used to collect them on a separate computer and analyze them, and see how one virus which does extremely nothing other than send itself to other people being put as bad as the Win95.CIH (aka Chernobyl), which ofcourse made me laugh my head-off, cause its in no way as bad as the CIH.

Anyways, to get to my point, NAV was so good with my computer, easily installable, easily removable, quarantines perfectly, sends in suspicious files to symantec labs so instantaniously and last but not least, it always told me about a virus before i got it, as a matter of fact, i placed a floppy drive into my computer, run a:.. and oops.. there is a virus, would you like to delete, quarantine, disallow access, or ignore.

So before you judge a software, look at the settings you have set, if you have it auto-quarantine or auto-delete then quarantine on failure to delete then why should it ask you when you already told it ahead of time.

I''ll let you be peeps.
