Pest Patrol - I love it, but have also gotten used to the concept that if a machine is heavily infected with spy-ware (KAZAA and it's buddies) it's better to reformat and reload. I've seen machines with thousands of pests (record is 5700, machine unusable), and managed to clean them out and return to usability using PestPatrol.. Other machines, with only a few hundred pests, I've seen PestPatrol cleanup do enough damage (I suppose the pest did the damage) that disinfecting the machine left the network unusable and other programs damaged - reload time. Still, PestPatrol is my 1st debug product, then SpySeeker, then ... I typically use three spyware cleaners since they seem to trigger on different things. Interesting that I find mostly spyware agents, and rarely virus files. Note that on a heavily infected machine, it may be better to stop at the first hundred or several hundred pests, clean them up, and then restart the scan. Seems to work better. Some well-known software products also load spyware agents, fyi.
