Unlike previous versions of WinPatrol, this one just locks up my PC all the time, no matter how I set the options. There is no menu visible from the tray icon, nor can the tray icon load the program on my PC. I have to load the interface from the start menu. Of course, all this may be my computer, but older versions worked fine - not this one. I had no choice but to uninstall it.

Klatuu: I am using Win Patrol with ME for several months now and have had no problems. Using version 8.0.1.0.

I''ve installed WinPatrol on my home PC and my work PC and have had no problems with it. This is an easy to understand/use product and I appreciate its functionality (tells me what''s going on in many different areas of my PC) and the price can''t be beat! Shareware, donations gladly accepted with a modest charge (less than $10 for an auto-updater feature, for one year).

Being somewhat less than a computer genius I appreciate this product and others like hijackthis (and the good folks here) that help me out and prevent me from ripping out my hair (what''s left of it).

I''d have no problem at all recommending WinPatrol to my closest friends (and I have).
