Compare Product Reviews in this ClassOpera 7.54 is my default browser. Here's why:
- Control and customization! I can make Opera look and behave the way I want, not the way some company wants. I can change the menu items, keyboard shortcuts, toolbar buttons, the skins, etc.
- Everything's built-in! Browser. Mail. Chat. Newsgroup reader. RSS Newsfeed reader. File download manager. Address book. There's no browser extensions to search for and install. You can trust a single vendor for all functionality. Upgrades are seemless and everything gets upgraded at once.
- Speed. Opera is fast! Installation. Downloads. Page rendering. User interface.
- Mouse gestures! Opera invented them. Users can customize them. Surf, read, etc. without ever pressing the keyboard or toolbar button.
- Keyboard accessibility! Virtually every feature in Opera can be accessed via the keyboard.
- User stylesheets! Make any web page look the way you want it to look. Remove ads. Make fonts legible. Change colors. More.
- Voice control! Yes, the newer version (7.6) adds user voice control. Opera can even read page text and mails back to you. Very neat.
- Multi-platform! Opera is available on virtually every platform from Windows desktops to mobile phones.
- Small. All the above and Opera is still only a 3.6MB download!
- Much, much, more
Be sure to download a FREE copy and evaluate it for a few weeks. Be sure to customize it, so you understand how much you can control the browser -- not the other way around.
