I'm having a problem regarding WINDOWS XP DOS.
Whenever I run a dos program such as turbo c, foxpro, etc. any other dos program. I can't seem to use my keyboard when I go to full screen. but I can use my keyboard only in window mode. I really need to go to full screen and use the keyboard so badly. How come I cant use my keyboard during fullscreen in DOS.
I'm using WINDOWS XP SP2.
Can anyone help me out here please....THANKS!!!

There is no problem w/ the device manager.
I dont understand what u mean by choosing properties and run as... i dont see run as dos...where do i find it.
I've encountered this once before...I solved it when I formatted the hard disk. Then, reinstalled it again. I think something was changed due to windows updates or something.
All I need is to get my keyboard working in fullscreen...
I can work in window mode but its really bothersome and slow especially in xp w/ all those working background programs.

Hi Kent666,
I'm wondering if this is a compatibility issue with XP. See if this helps:
Create a shortcut on the desktop for your DOS program.
Right click the shortcut and select properties. Go to the Compatibility tab and check the box by 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:'
Choose Windows 95 and click OK.
There is a Compatibility Wizard within XP you could try - http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/learnmore/appcompat.mspx gives details. This allows several options and settings to be tried without committing to them.

Oh well, I still haven't figured out this thing. Anyway its not a compatibility issue. I've encountered this before but got it solved when I reformatted the hard disk.
I'm still looking up for the solution though. Last time, I reformatted it but the problem was still the same then when I reformat it again it just runs fine in fullscreen. I still need more research.
My theory is that it has something to do w/ the NTFS and FAT32 format. But I could be wrong. Before I was using FAT32 but then I now reformatted it to NTFS.
OR maybe it has something to do with the hardware...
OR maybe it's due to the SP2 that i have installed...

I finally figured it out... the thing that got it not to worked in the first place is that it has something to do with the drivers being installed.
At first, when i formatted my HDD and installed winXP. After that, I installed the driver cd that i got from my motherboard but when i installed the SIS AGP driver, it made the KEYBOARD not FUNCTIONAL in FULLSCREEN DOS. I dont know HOW TO REMOVE THE DRIVER IN SIS AGP eventhough i uninstalled it, the keyboard still doesnt function. So what i did is reformatted again, then install winXP with all the updates...NO NEED TO INSTALL THE DRIVERS FROM MY MOTHERBOARD since winXP has all the drivers installed and no conflict. FINALLY, my KEYBOARD works FULLSCREEN DOS.
note: DO NOT INSTALL THE DRIVER AGAIN SIS AGP even if its from the web and even if it is an updated version. ^_^
