Have paid version of Kerio 4.3.125 and every time I use Windows Movie Maker in XP Pro SP2 Kerio reports numerous intrusion alerts from the program.

Have you tried adding Windows Movie Maker as an exceptions within HIPS?

Seems that it had to be added to the Buffer Overflow exception section of HIPS.
