Kerio application behaviour monitoring is unable to see and block Microsoft Windows Desktop Search 3.0 Beta Engine Preview (KB917013) (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=36E38453-6E20-4CF7-8BFC-1CAC7F35DA49&displaylang=en)
Much to my displeasure the program continues to run and hog my PC's resources even though I've set its properties in Kerio to "Deny", as far as I can tell Kerio never even notices the program running.

Can't you just uninstall Microsoft Windows Desktop Search?
Not that this answers your question. _________________ MS's "New Coke"

I wish, if I do MS Outlook 2007 Beta just plain constantly bitches about wanting the Search Beta installed.
BTW, for anyone interested MS Office Beta is awful! Looks great, works like a dog and has many issues, but I am conducting first hand testing for my work and will continue to use Office Beta 2007 for a while at least.

How are your application behaviour blocking settings configured? Make sure that everything is set to prompt you. It may be worth setting any existing application rules to "ask".

I dont understand the why I would do that?
I have other programs that are "deny" and they are unable to run, which pleases me no end.
What would putting the search programs and my other programs to ask do apart from cause me to get lots of prompts?

Within application behaviour blocking settings, make sure that "use existing behaviour blocking rules or ask me" is enabled for each option (maybe this is already set). Going by you link, it says that this feature is run as a service but I'm sure there must be an executable associated to it's operation somewhere which could be denied. Anything appear within task manager?

Are you able to run these processes manually? If so, I'm not sure why skpf4 allows their execution if set to deny.
