Right now I've seen that the rules are logged but I don't get alert with a balloon, although I set the rule to alert me.

Is the firewall tested a little before release a new build? I'm shocked.

I have the same problem, I sent an email to Sunbelt but have heard nothing back for a few days, if I get a response I'll post it.

I notice that this was posted almost two months ago, on "Mon Aug 21, 2006 11:23 am"...what's the latest on this problem?

Any new builds to test or workarounds for this issue?

Afraid not, David. Sunbelt tells me that a new version is "close", but there is no ETA for it.

If necessary, and this version is causing problems on your PC, you could always install an earlier version until the new one is released.

That's what I was told, as well. However, going back to an earlier build, even one as recent as 4.3.178, does not get rid of a number of problems that plague all the versions, including the recently announced CVE-2006-5153:

http://nvd.nist.gov/nvd.cfm?cvename=CVE-2006-5153

Sad

Here's to hoping the beta is released sooner than later...
