Trend Micro is giving me a popup every 30 seconds that says "Personal Firewall has detected an outgoing connection that meets specified warning conditins - Windows NT Logon Application - c:\windows\system32\winlogon.exe. I click Deny Connection, but what is the problem. I've done various scans and haven't found anything. Can you help? Here's a hijack this log:

I have uninstalled Trend Micro PC-cillin internet security 2005 to get rid of the error message every 30 seconds. I am trying to install the 2006 version, but all downloads seen to freeze after a certain point. I tried to use the CD and the file extration froze half-way through. I'm trying to download a file from Trend Micro, but the download has frozen after only 6.0 mb of the 45.5 mb was downloaded. I have also had several blue screens that refer to tfsnifs.sys.

Download the latest version of Look2Me-Remover.exe by atribune to your desktop.

* Close all windows before continuing.
* Double-click Look2Me-Remover.exe to run it.
* Put a check next to Run this program as a task.
* You will receive a message saying Look2Me-Remover will close and re-open in approximately 10 seconds. Click OK
* When Look2Me-Remover re-opens, click the Scan for L2M button, your desktop icons will disappear, this is normal.
* Once it's done scanning, click the Remove L2M button.
* You will receive a Done Scanning message, click OK.
* When completed, you will receive this message: Done removing infected files! Look2Me-Remover will now shutdown your computer, click OK.
* Your computer will then shutdown.
* Turn your computer back on.
* Please post the contents of C:\Look2Me-Remover.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

I ran lookme2-remover and no change in PC. I'm currently running no antivirus software as I can't seem to load trend micro internet security either from a CD or a download. Do you see anything odd in the hijack this file?

Download Combofix to your C:\. !! It is really important that combofix.exe is on your C:\, not somewhere else. So the exact path of combofix should be C:\combofix.exe

Then go to start > run and copy and paste next command in the field:

C:\combofix.exe /v xqvfwlkm

Hit enter.
This should start the combofix.

Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang.

When finished and after reboot, it should open a log, combofix.txt.
Post this log in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog.
