MailWasher has provided a registry patch that will allow email to be
forwarded to Knujon. We know some of you have created your own registry hacks for this, but we did not want to go forward with it officially until we had spoken to them directly. More information:

Understood, however it has been Knujon users who have requested a patch for mailwasher. When people first contacted us about modifying Thunderbird and other components to work with Knujon we were hesitant because we did not want involve third parties until we had our process at a certain level.
Now we have hundreds of people submitting through Thunderbird who have never even been to our site, just taking the extension on word of mouth. We are happy to have them submitting but these situations have their own problems. For example we received an email from a user complaining that his mail was getting rejected and it turns out he was sending it to the wrong address. He go this incorrect address from Thunderbird extension instructions we did not write. We've also seen a host of misinformation about Knujon on various threads.
The increased interest is both a blessing and a curse. We want people to benefit from Knujon and get the word out there but we also now have to answer to all kinds demands, expectations, and criticism. Many of the questions asked are addressed on Knujon.com but we keep getting the same questions over and over. I suppose that is to be expected, I never read the instruction booklet when I assemble a bookshelf or a tricycle until I run into a problem.

It is unfortunate that the registry modification ONLY allows a choice of 1 reporting location. I am not willing to dump SpamCop reporting just to add KnujOn.
Still it is a step in the right direction.

True and fair. We'd like to keep everyone happy if that is possible. We've got a lot of requests and we're trying to address them as we can. We would really like people to be able to submit to as many services as possible. We'll push for more options as we go.

I agree that the Knujon info at the web site is much better than a few months ago. Having said that, there's very little detail (read "none") as to what happens to a msg reported to Knujon. In my mind at least, it's that level of info that is needed to strengthen Knujon credibility.

We understand and appreciate your concerns. More information and details will eventually be available. I’ll give you a little background on the situation so you can see things from our perspective.
4 Months ago our major concern was not having enough samples to properly test our theories and to perform accurate tests. In the time since increased participation pushed our operation to the limit, we upgraded our infrastructure and we are again very close to capacity. We haven’t turned anyone away but we are proceeding cautiously.
We have more than enough samples, the proofs are in data that are still being sorted and compiled.
Now our concern is not so much about sample and participation levels, but about creating an infrastructure that can handle the volume increase we are expecting in the coming year. If process details make certain folks hesitant about participating fully, that is a short-term sacrifice we are will to make.
