Received a message from Prevx1 that ZoneAlarm Pro wanted to install a patch today. Is this a genuine file? It seems to claim to be a database update but don't want to let it in until I am sure.

Well that kindof depends. ZoneAlarm doesn't have patches. But it does do updates. Is your AntiSpyware set to update automatically? If it is, then it could be a good thing. But I can't tell for sure. Your terminology is different (or is this something that Prevx1 called it?).

Automatic updating is enabled and last update was today.
Don't remember where the word came from. The file was in windows/system32/zonelabs/update. I had a problem with my system and used GoBack to revert my drive to an hour before that message appeared and it never came up again. Maybe the next time it happened Prevx recognized it.
