However, I have left it available to forum readers as a warning about Prevx Home - a product discontinued 18 months ago. Prevx Home allowed you to choose its installation location (which Prevx1 does not). As a consequence, some people chose to install it is strange places like the root of their C:\ drive or c:\windows. The uninstaller of Prevx Home (like many uninstall routines) will delete the contents of its installation folder. If you installed to the default location (c:\program files\PrevxHome) that folder would be deleted. If you chose to install it at c:\ .... bye bye hard disk. It is for this very reason that Prevx1 does not allow you to choose your installation location.

Do not use Prevx Home. It is discontinued and unsupported. No web site is authorised by Prevx to carry its download.

Use Prevx1 instead. It does not have these problems and is fully supported by Prevx.]

Hello,

Well, i had PrevX Home, and wanted to uninstall it. I went into the control pannel and clicked the add remove hardware button. When i tried to remove it, the bar froze at the end of the 'configuring Prevx' bar. it stayed there for about 5 minutes, which is abnormal, naturally, i thought that the program was not responding or something, but it was responding. So after those 5 minutes, i clicked the cancel button, the cancel button would not respond! I managed to kill the program with TaskManager, only to find out that 22 GB of data and programs had been deleted (in my C:/ Drive).

Be warned, PrevX Home is harmful and may destroy your files! DO NOT DOWNLOAD.

Also, has this happened before?[/b]
