|
|
Hi,
and firstly apologies if I am posting to the wrong forum - first time posting.
I was just wondering if anyone had any information on PC Pitstops Exterminate anti-spyware program. I ran a scan with it some time ago and it detected, what I believe to be a keylogger, called Real Spy. But can not seem to find any information on this, or on the Exterminate program itself and wondered whether it was legit or rogue anti-spyware?
Any information on either would be much appreciated.
Thank you!

Hello Summersun,
This is the definitive directory of rogue anti-spyware:
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm
There are over 200,000 known pests. Unfortunately, anti-malware program developers are not consistent in how they label or characterize these pests. If you are looking for information about a specific detected pest, you must consult the pest database for the particular program that detected that pest. If there is no or insufficient information, you must then try a different anti-malware program.
We suggest you use these:

I believe the PC Pitstop scanner is based off of the Pest Patrol scanning engine. That being said, it can\will\does spit out false\positives routinely. _________________ Ultimate Countermeasures Page
