I see you've managed to fit the Crab Nebula into your signature.

Who needs a TARDIS!? - Perhaps we should start calling you "The Doctor"!
I've always thought of it as a strangely lit lagoon seen from above.
There are so many spectacular images out there on the internet that one is hard-pressed to choose a list of favourites.
A few of mine are the following:
NGC3372 - The Great Carina Nebula - Eta Carinae and Keyhole:

I've also corrected the image links - the first I've replaced with a wide-field image and the second, which seems to have reverted to the same as the first from a redirected image, I've replaced with another link to the correct image.
