Hello,

I formated my hard drive recently, and I had to reinstall all my old programs downloading them again from internet, since they were deleted from my hard drive

then, I imported my old rules, and now when I have to use an application: winrar, photoshop, etc..... it appears a box named: replacing application, how can this be possible if they are the same program Iīve been using?

Thanks and Regards

It is normal behaviour, and it should ask you only once for each application as you start them.
It is part of the protection.
When you imported your old rules you also must have imported the record of your installed software state.
So when you start the newly reinstalled applications the firewall sees them as changed from before.
This is meant to protect you from malware starting up posing as an application you have installed.
So if you get the Changed pop up and you haven't just updated
or reinstalled the software, you can deny it from starting or
getting to the internet.
Until you check it out to make sure you don't have malware on your system.

Hope this helps your understanding of what is happening.

Later.
