After much research I switched to comodo's pro firewall and it is free. This firewall is far superior to kerio and it is highly highly rated. I have had no more bsod's either since switching 2 months ago. You will do yourself a favor by checking this firewall out.

Yes, I also have given up on SPF. After waiting a long time for an update to fix various problems I have removed it & I am using another product.
Maybe one day I will be back but I doubt it. Ver 4.3.246 which came out in May 2006, I think, was the last reasonable version. Ever since then I have had shutdown problems.

After installing the latest version of Sunbelt Kerio, all seemed well but then I started getting the "cannot connect to service" popping up again. Feel annoyed that I had paid for this buggy software. It's a shadow of it's former self since sunbelt took over it seems.
I switched to Comodo a few months ago like a few other have, no problems so far. It does all I need it to do.
I miss sunbelts kerios adblocking but there are other things you can get to work just as well at doing that.
