i used SNF (single network firewall) for quite some time.
Despite the bugs in updating the firewall it runs great.
Now mandrake released MNF (multiple network firewall).
does any have experiance with this version?
i dont like reinstalling a working firewall for a bigger version with the same bugs in it.
But i do like the VPN option in it Wink

please advice

robert

I hesistate to go with anything that is new these days. This article on MNF might be of interest to you:

Even SNF had low sales, I don't know why MNF would do any better in the mainstream. Question is, do you satisfy the requirements to install MNF, and do you need the VPN it offers?

If you need VPN I recommend using ASTARO Firewall. As a home user you can get it free. More Information here: http://www.linux-tip.net

One of the quickest ways to learn a linux box is to install a mysql database, apache server, and load up php and perl into it.
