This site has been around for a number of years. It was not until relatively recently we found it necessary to patrol this forum. The reason we started is because of prejudicial remarks which were made and were offensive to entire faiths, not just individual doctrines. There are a good number of you which know exactly what I'm talking about. Up until that time, people with various doctrines and religious beliefs managed to have intelligent discussions in this forum without becoming hostile or demeaning. For the majority of you that is still the case, we welcome your discussions and opinions.
However some things need to be made very clear. Blatent attacks on a particular faith and/or belief system will not be tolerated. Spamming via any form will not be tolerated this includes, but it not limited to spamming the forum with threads clearly intended on trying to start some kind of hostile exchange. Personal attacks (publically or not) against people because they don't agree with your point of view will not be tolerated. The blue button is not to complain because someone doesn't agree with you, abusing the system in place to alert the moderators of a problem in the forum will not be tolerated. Anti-[insert belief here] sentiment, hate speech, attempts for form hate groups and/or discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated.
Please do not waste our time complaining about the conduct of other members, when every word written has done nothing but provoke their response. If you want to have an intelligent conversation, then conduct yourself as an intelligent person. Most everyone here has some kind of religious belief. They are entitled to it. They are not here to get an unsolicited education on the flaws of their deity or belief. If you can not manage to conduct yourself in an appropriate manner then your time here will not be very long or pleasant.
I'm quite certain most of the people who come to this forum would like to continue on with the thought provoking discussions they have everyday. As I said before, for the majority what I've said here will have no effect on those discussions. I would ask that you please ensure you are aware of what is expected of you here specifically in this forum and on the site in general.
Can we please get back to what this forum is about.
* A word on personal attacks:
Personal attacks do not include members asking for proof, members telling you to go away if you don't have anything pleasant to say, or being told that you don't know what you are talking about. They do not include terse responses or rebuttals (in most cases). We are all entitled to our opinion, regardless of whether it agrees with your religious belief or not.
