Win XP Pro
P4 2.4GHz 512 pc2700 corsair ddr
WD 80Gb 8Mb cache
430watt PSU
Fx5600 128mb
My Problem just started yesterday while trying to play C+C Generals Zero Hour. Have played it hundreds of time w/o any Problems. Now when i play game is choppy and unplayable.
Have latest direct x, updated drivers for all hardware. In past, while in game i would alt-tab to desktop and check performance of cpu and memory, cpu would be used around 50% and higher...now its no more then 3% with rest of it just idle..thanks for the help.

When you say your game is 'choppy' do you mean it freezes occasionally? If so, this would impy a 'Deffered Procedure Call' (DPC). This means that your machine is occassionally trying to process something while you are playing your game. Normal culprits are AV software and anything else which does a scan of your system on a regular basis.
Can you view the processes in task manager for any likely culprits?
