PROBLEM 1: When I installed my Microsoft Wireless for my internet (cable) connection to my laptop, I began getting an error referencing vserver.vxd
Today, I fixed that problem as per MS instruction. Error is gone.

PROBLEM 2: When I installed my HP PSC 2510 Wireless 4-in-1 printer, I began getting 2 new errors on startup:

referencing fpms9x.vxd
AND
HPsom caused invalid page fault

So, I downloaded from HP webside hpsinmgr_disable.exe to eliminate the startup error of HPosm.

PROBLEM 2A: after downloading HP file, I now get the following error on startup (HPosm error is gone):

<UNKNOWN> caused an exception c0000006H in module <unknown> at 0000:bff86eac.

PROBLEM 3: I have ZoneAlarm (free version) on my laptop. I keep getting a message that HPZipm12.exe is trying to access the internet.
I do not know what this is.

Can anyone help me with any of these problems?? I am runninw Windows 98.

Thank you.

HPZipm12.exe:
got this info from here:
http://www.answersthatwork.com/Tasklist_pages/tasklist_h.htm
Background task loaded by the drivers for the HP PSC 2100, 2200, 4100, and 6100 series of multifunction printers. This task seems to be involved in the handling of Zip drives if your PC has one, although we are not certain.

Recommendation :
Our [small sample of] evidence so far shows that this task is quite often responsible for PC slow-downs as well as serious conflicts with specific software packages (e.g. the inability to print anything from Sage Instant Accounting). Disabling it with The Ultimate Troubleshooter does not seem to impact on the proper operation of the HP printer, but solves all the other problems.
