I think greencoconut was trying to infer that IDM is what is causing that IEmonitor file to appear.... _________________ <img src="http://www.castlecops.com/zx/johnlgalt/johnlgalt%20sig.png">

Yes, it's a process from Internet Download Manager.
If you want to be 110% sure you can go to Start > Search (expecting that you have XP) and search what the path of the process is. _________________ Trained by MalWare Removal

yes its used by IDM if you want to get rid of it look in your IDM options for what browsers it monitors and uncheck IE and just leave firefox and that will stop that and i love IDM too, i get better download speeds with it than flashget _________________ my computer specs:

thank you for reply now that you explained exactly what it does i will delete it as i am not bothered about IDM monitering IE and it seems to use quite a bit of memory to do that thanks and happy holidays _________________ MOB striker extreme ASUS, intel quad core processor, 2x8800 nvidia GEforce graphics cards, 4 GB kingstone ram, 2x250GB hard drives.
