Sorry if this has been posted before or if it is in the wrong section.
I am trying to play games on my computer (rainbow six 3 vegas and splinter cell double agent) but upon starting them they go all juttery (sp?) According to the hardware requirements iam equal or better than everything but the gameplay is still very jurky.
My computers spec is:
RAM; 3GB
HD; 160GB + 160GB (external)
Graphics Card; NVIDIA GeForce 6100 nForce 405
Video memory; 512MB
Processer; AMD 64 Athlon x2
Game Requirements:
System: 3000 MHz Pentium IV or AMD Athlon or equivalent
RAM: 1024 MB
Video Memory: 128 MB
Hard Drive Space: 7000 MB
And I also have the most up to date drivers for the graphics card and the direct x
I have also got this "nvidia ntune" software which fine tunes the graphics for best performance and I was wanderig if this would work, as it takes 3 hours?
Do I need to upgrade anything or is it a case of changing some settings?

Hi
When you say that the gameplay is jurky, what are you referring to? Do you see lack of texture, black areas (or any other graphical related abnormalities) or are you experiencing slow movements, crosshair latency etc ?
What operating system are you running? _________________ IT Stuff

The OS that I am using is Windows XP SP2.
By saying gameplay is jurky I mean that it is very stuttery and there is a delay from when I do an action to when it is carried out/slow movements.
After talking on a few other forums I was told that a new graphics card would be best; Ive seen a nvidia 8500GT going quite cheap or a nvidia 7600 GS for a bit more and I am just wanting peoples opinions on these GPU's as their speeds seem fairly good..
Thanks
