Just curious, is it just me, or is Gmail and mailto: usage broken?
Previously, mailto: would open correctly within Gmail.
But now I get stuck and even though Complainterator is set for Gmail, the report opens in Windows Mail.

If you go to your browser address bar, key in mailto:test@example.com and press Enter, it should fire up Gmail.
If not, you need to change your set-up so that it does.

I reported the mailto: problem to GMail a while back. It redirects to a blank page.
First they replied asking for more information, so I sent it to them. I think they said they were working on it, but I can't find the message in my inbox, so it's possible they never replied.
I've pretty much given up on using GMail with Complainterator anyway, because there were some glitches that were never fixed. I set mailto: to open Thunderbird instead, which is more convenient as it isn't on a web page.

I fixed both angles of it.
First angle, my mailto:// protocol was not being "set" to Google talk, so I did some regedit hacks, to set the mailto handler to googletalk.exe (this is outlined sorta, in a thread of mine at the General Problems forum here at CC).
Once that was working, I witnessed this "blank screen" with Gmail which is somehow tied into "English US" in Gmail preferences.
So I changed mine to English UK (supposidely it only "corrects" color to "colour" is what I was told, lol) and so now reports are generated fine within Gmail.
Something to note, it appears the Gmail compose url format is
| Code: | | https://mail.google.com/mail/?view=cm&fs=1&to=test@gmail.com |
so perhaps this could be used to "call" the compose window even, if gmail is selected? I dont know if this would get around the blank window for English US or not though.
