Consult a good attorney. Libel is a civil tort, and needs to be dealt with in civil court.
Also file a complaint with the hosting ISP for the site. They might pull the site. _________________ Don't read? Can't learn!

Hey, thanks a lot for your answer.
I don't have the money for a lawyer right now, or at least I don't think I do depending on the cost.
Do you have any idea how I might find the hosting ISP and their contact information?
Thank you again!

If you have the URL, the internet address, enter it here:
http://www.dnsstuff.com/
in the WHOIS lookup. That will give you the information about the site, usually including the ISP or the registrar. If not, copy and post the information from that, and I will do a lookup to find the ISP for you.
Important, we take no side in this issue, it is completely between you and the people that you believe are libeling you. _________________ Don't read? Can't learn!

I don't know how to read that stuff. I can't really tell if what I need is there or not.
Do you mind if I send the info to you in a PM? I'd rather not post it in the public forum. I understand if that's not OK though. Thanks a lot!

Sorry, we do not provide assistance via PM for many good reasons. _________________ Don't read? Can't learn!

No problem.
I recognize a few strings of numbers that look like IP addresses. There are a few email addresses but they are all asterisks before the domains. It's all foreign. This is definitely the information for the ISP people and not the people who actually made the website, correct?
I don't really know where to go from here, but I guess I can't post this publicly.
Thanks for all the help you were able to give!
