I am using Vista Home Premium and when I open Windows Mail the computer freezes and won't thaw out and I have to cut power to the computer. This just started today. I have been using Windows Mail for close to a year with no problems. Today I downloaded a Zone Alarm upgrade (7.1.248) and I think that's the only difference. ZA asked for permission for Windows Mail and I clicked "Allow" then the computer froze. Everything else works. I am using Firefox right now to report this. Also the malware and other Windows programs can access the internet.

Well I am glad no one replied. It turned out that the problem was my anti-virus e-mail scanner. I turned it off and mail is working great.

Are you using a version of ZA that has the AV scanner in it?
