For some reason, when i go to the google search
enjine... and click on links when i need to find
what i'm looking for.. say i'm looking for something to do with
astronomy in google and click on one of it's results..

then google sends me to seach enjines, or ads like

shophoppers.com or something similar (shophoppers i made up, i think)... but it sends me to either a new search enjine or some sort of different page... usually it is some discount store or something...

anyway, i used avg antivirus and avg antispyware and ran them...even though my avg antispyware is trial.. and i'm still under the trial... and it didn't fix the problem!!

It sounds like your PC is infected with malware.

I'd also suggest you install Windows Defender (if you use Windows XP), which is free and is available from http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx
