So, is there no more availability of SH 2 for Fx *without* the clue? _________________ <img src="http://www.castlecops.com/zx/johnlgalt/johnlgalt%20sig.png">

This will always be available on demand, but we felt that would be too confusing for users to have three versions of SiteHound for two browsers. _________________ I wish my lawn was emo, then it would cut itself

Oh, so in other words, you made it a deselectable option?
Kewl!

Not yet, though we will. For now though if anyway wants the non-clue version we can supply them with the different build. We just don't list it on the website. _________________ I wish my lawn was emo, then it would cut itself

OK, I want the non clue build - last time I tried it it was wayyyy to resource intensive for my ancient machine running Vista.... _________________ <img src="http://www.castlecops.com/zx/johnlgalt/johnlgalt%20sig.png">

|
|
I have just upgraded Sitehound 1.50 to version 2.0, uninstalling the older version first as recommended, and have experienced two problems.
(1) After updating the database at the start of a new day, later on the Sitehound toolbar is telling me to update the database again. I believed that 2.0 would update seamlessly in the background, so is this a problem? Version 1.50 did not do this, but reported the database up-to-date throughout the day.
(2) I tried to access a search engine today - ask.com - which now appears to be on the 'undesirable' list as I got a warning page stating it contained adware/malware. I chose to enter the site anyway but as soon as the page appeared I was bounced straight back to the Sitehound warning page. I tried several times to enter ask.com again but Sitehound would not allow it. Version 1.50 did not do this, so I re-installed 1.50 to test this, just in case ask.com had been added since version 2.0 was released. I got the warning message but I was allowed to enter without any problems.
I have kept 1.50 installed at the moment.
Has anyone else experienced similar problems?
I am running Windows XP Home Edition with SP2, and IE7.

Regarding issue (2), that's been fixed. It was (as usual) my mistake. For some reason when you click Enter Site before the warning page has compelted loading, it will often return you to the warning page. Will get that looked at.
With regard to SiteHound telling you it's out of date, and given that you have updated. I would note down your SiteHound User ID (and registration if you have one) close IE and navigate to C:\Documents And Settings\<your uname>\Aplication Data\SiteHound\ and delete config.dat.
Uninstall 1.5, install 2.0
Restart the browser, enter the information.
See how that goes. _________________ I wish my lawn was emo, then it would cut itself
