First, don't use the Windows task scheduler, that will just confuse things. Delete any scheduled task from there.
Using the AVG v8 interface, disable the default "Scheduled scan". Unfortunately, you cannot delete it, so disabling it is the way to go. Next Add a new scan schedule. That opens another window, pick the time, remember to Enable the scan using the check box at the bottom left, then use How to scan and What to scan to set the information the scanner will need to have. Once you click on Save, it should add the new scan to the scheduler, and that should be it. _________________ Don't read? Can't learn!

You do not have to disable the default schedule in 8.0 - you can simply adjust the schedule properties in Advanced Settings. You can also create a new schedule - right click in the 'Schedules' subtree of advanced settings and create a new schedule.

Hmm - just making sure: and was the PC on at the specified time? If the PC is off, AVG cannot invoke any scheduled activity...
