So we had an outage today. Hundreds of times it seems I've made this statement execute in the client:

set @@global.query_cache_size = x;

And no issues came about.

I went from 256 MB to 512 MB, and lots of tables crashed. So I had to rebuild them, and we're back.

That has to the best of my recollection never happened before. So, was it coincidence? I don't know.
