when i run the program update, not the definition update, my Comodo Firewall Pro Defense tells me that AdAware is trying to access my keyboard. why is it doing this?

It is a matter of interpretation as Comodo is just letting you know about Lavasoft. However, if that was some other, to you unknown, application then it would be of some concern otherwise it is not.

thanks. but why would it still access my keyboard? i heard it might have something to do with the function keys but am not sure its true.

you need to also ask Comodo why it thinks Lavasoft is accessing keyboard. It could be calling it so because some .dll is being used etc etc

If you want to stop the pop-ups see if this works: Open up CPF Interface, go to Secuirty->Advanced, and then click on the Miscellaneous Configure button, then uncheck the box that says: 'Do not show any alerts for the applicaitons certified by COMODO'.
