Sometime ago I was asking about the way sirt numbers were tallied in reference to "posters of the month". Among the explanations was a line that reposting a sirt report did not count as two reports.
I thought that meant if you got two emails from say, Royal Casino, that it would not count as two reports.
I was posting in threads in other parts of the forum the other day and the upload was slow. Up to two minutes a page on my lousy dial-up. I have a bit of a short term memory problem so if I look away from a page for a moment and it is still there when I look back I may forget I have posted and click again. A couple of times.
During a ddos attack in here when the site was even slower for me I had a page taking ages and clicked on it a few times I ended up with the same post showing up as three when the upload finally resolved as a page.
My question after that long-winded explanation is, is that happening with sirt reports? I often get annoyed with my upload times and click on the entry button just to be sure. Are they generating multiple copies of the same report?
I don't care about things like who is posting most or anything but I would be unhappy if I was annoying handlers with multiple copies of the same item _________________ Everywhere is being measured and possessed by unmagical minds, it's sacred places overrun, and their guardians driven to drink and despair (Clive Barker, Everville)
