I'm new I'm a ministerial student. I'm pretty reformed in my soteriology but dispensational in my eschatology.
I was on another forum and they were griping that this forum was anti-semitic so I have browsed a bit and think the rumor is probably unfounded but I thought a little discussion would be fun anyway.
So what is Gods relationship to the Jews?

I'm sorry, but Moloth has a point. If an internet site is hateful and you think it would cause your "whole family" pain, why the hell would you tell them all about it and direct them to it? Sadism or morbid curiosity?
Also: I'm sorry, but implying that sensitivity is an exclusively Jewish trait is pretty.... racist. |

Hi, guys.
I've just been over to the atheist forums site to read the thread started by "Mark Dern". It made excellent reading, and I would like to congratulate the regulars at that site for the wonderful advice they were giving to Mark all through the discussion. Their conclusion about the problem that Mark raised about this forum seems to be that Mark was playing and April fools joke on them.

My apologies for not welcoming you sooner. I was not entirely convinced you were not .... er ... someone else. 
I think your consensus is probably right.
This has happened here in the past.
Concerning "us" and "them" (great song BTW), if you don't believe 100% with the individual, you automatically become THEM. You see what happens after that. Anyway, you guys now know of a great site if your computers ever start acting wonky, so all in all, it was not entirely an exorcise in futility.

What is God's relationship to the Jews? Ask God! I'm sure that no matter how many Jews you ask about it, the answers will all be somewhat different. (Same goes for any group). Go straight to the source! And while you're having your tete-a-tete, ask him/her/it/them why there is so much evil and suffering in a world that a loving and all-powerful God created and reigns over. Have you studied theodicy yet? Any conclusions?
After the 20th-Century Holocaust (there are people making plans for another one), Jewish theologians asked the same question. A few started a movement best called Jewish Atheism. And then there's the story of the Rabbis in one of the concentration camps who gathered together to put God on trial. In the middle of the trial they had to take a break -- it was prayer time.
A "cult" can be defined as a group that has no political connections.
