I have Windows Vista in an Acer Aspire 5100 laptop. The Acer Tour screen keeps showing up from the first day until present. Recently it's been also freezing sometimes so I have to bad shut down or bad reset my computer. I'm really tired of this. How can I get rid of that totally useless, annoyning and disgusting piece of stuff once and for all? Thanks in advance.

Hi zelus_et_radix, and Welcome to CC Very Happy

I have not used Vista but the following should do the trick:

Open msconfig - instructions on how to do this can be found here .

Find the entry for 'Acer Tour' or 'Acer Tour Reminder' and uncheck the box by that entry (click in the box to remove the tick).

Click OK, then Restart.

If you are unsure which entry to disable then please post back and we can sort out a utility to list your startup programs and help you select the ones you don't need.

Thank you so much, Mister2. I've got my first clean startup since I got this laptop. God bless you!
