|
|
Hello All:
I have a MacBookPro [Please keep reading & stop judging. This is not about the MBP;-)]
I do a lot of PowerPoints and I use a wireless mouse presenter that plugs into my laptop's USB so I can click through the PowerPoint lines while I am across the room from my laptop. What I would really like is to find a wireless adapter to plug into my LCD projector -- It has for available plugs, USB Male A; monitor HD15 female, S-Video, RCA plugs --
As I read the forums, I see that bluetooth is not an option due to band width. Is there an adapter out there to make my LCD projector wireless? (like I did do with my iPod to make it cordless) Might I run it through my wireless router or something (like I did to set up my wireless printer?) The LCD projector has no built in capabilities that I know of EXCEPT that it has a clicker (infrared perhaps?) that allows me to change LCD projector settings. My projector is a Mitsubishi (sorry, don't have the number with me -- but they have stopped making it - It's about 3 years old).
Thanks in advance....

The closest thing I know of, and I am not sure exactly what you are proposing to do - your description is somewhat vague, is the Slingbox:

You will have to really look at it hard to see if it does what you want, and if you have the proper ports on your system and on your LCD projector. It seems to do the opposite of what I think you are trying to do, but I'm not sure. Other than that, I am not aware of any other hardware that comes even close. _________________ Don't read? If you are patient, though, there are specs being developed for Wireless USB - hopefully to be available next year.
That Slingbox looks kinda neat - it would make it sorta wireless as it would allow the laptop to view content from a TV through the Internet, meaning it could be used with a wireless connection - however, I don't think this would allow for sending signals *out* of the laptop *to* a projector type device, unless I missed something.... _________________ <img src="http://www.castlecops.com/zx/johnlgalt/johnlgalt%20sig.png">
