Regretfully, I have had to uninstall Prevx for the last time. This comes after "using" the product for almost 2 years and getting less and less from their support team (which was excellent in the beginning). Prevx2 will not play nice with NAV2007 on my computer. It seems with each new upgrade things will be ok for a week or two and then PXagent or PXconsole slowly start to grab more and more system resources until the inevitable crash comes. The last crash was very difficult to recover from. I tried to document to their support team what was happening with the major incidents. The last response from them suggested that I switch from Prevx2 to some new program that I wasn't familiar with. So, I've "pulled the plug" and will have lost almost a full year's worth of paid up subscription. Unfortunate, as Prevx seemed to be a product for the future for malware protection. I hope for the sake of the other users out there that they can keep a quality product available. _________________ What, me worry?

If the advice the official support gave you was to switch from prevx2 to "prevx CSI" in order to solve your problems it's a real frightening thing.
It's almost equal to say......we don't support prevx2 anymore

Thanks, giamorsi, for triggering my faulty memory. CSI was what Prevx support recommended. I have been running for 2 months without Prevx and my system problems have been all but eliminated. I know that there are probably better AV solutions than NAV, but I've used NAV since 2004 without any problems. I never could get an answer from Prevx support (after 2 requests) to establish whether CSI would run with NAV2007 reliably.
I don't want to discredit Prevx, I do believe that there is validity in their approach to malware prevention, it just isn't compatible with my situation. _________________ What, me worry?
