I'm still having a bit of a problem getting Norton SystemWorks running properly. When I run LiveUpdate, I get an error at completion - LU1871 and Norton SystemWorks is marked with a red X and the error indicates a problem with it. I'm running WinXP with latest updates.

I reviewed the error writeup on the Symantec site and it indicates to run the "Remove Damaged LiveUpdate Files" and then "Remove temporary files", which I did.

Then to download and install the latest version of LiveUpdate. I tried that and it failed. It appears I need to uninstall LiveUpdate in Add/Remove and then download and install LiveUpdate.

Would that be the proper approach to resolution of this error or is there a better (and possibly safer) approach? LiveUpdate appears to be working for NIS 2008 with no problem. Just want to be sure before I take the step.

Also, anyone has the direct link to the latest version of LiveUpdate on the Symantec site?

Ok, Cudni,

I uninstalled Live Update, restarted the computer, and Installed Live Update via your provided link. Ran Live Update and it seem to work ok. Hopefully, problem has been solved.
