Hey,
I was wondering if rootkits are any more common on Linux than other forms of malware. I hear a lot about how there are no viruses or very few viruses that Linux is vulnerable to. But does anyone know if that includes rootkits? I did a google search for Linux rootkits but couldn't find anything specific. Found a lot on the history, detection, and removal of rootkits, but nothing in particular about current rootkits targeting Linux. And the focus on Linux is only because I'm relatively clear on how they affect Windows; also rootkits originated on Unix (which I thought was interesting).
