|
|
Sometimes, my computer freezes randomly, the screen will be incomplete, showing some black parts, weird noise will come from my speakers, and this will go on for about 1-2 minutes. Afterwards the realtek hd audio manager pops up and tells me that the cable has been connected. Well, I can tell you, the cable is ofcourse connected, otherwise there would be no sound. Someone told me that I had to upgrade the driver, so I did. But this problem still occurs... Ow, and after the freeze, everything functions normally with the exception that the computer is abnormal slow. So what must I do?

Hi chi-man, sorry your post got overlooked.
I'm not a 'sound' expert but I suggest you first look in Device Manager for any problems. Right click My Computer and select Properties. Click The Hardware tab and then click Device manager. Click the '+' sign next to 'Sound, Video and Game controllers and see if there is a yellow '!' or red 'X' showing.
Then go to Start, Run, type dxdiag and click OK. Run all the tests (including the video tests) and see if you get any errors.
Let us know what you find. _________________ Never stop learning

Also, make sure *all* your drivers (not just your sound, but network (this one is especially important), video card, and any other device you have installed has updated drivers as well.
Also, what operating system are you using>? _________________ <img src="http://www.castlecops.com/zx/johnlgalt/johnlgalt%20sig.png">

SOrry for the late reply,
@Mister2, none of those devices are showing the ! nor X, and I did the dxdiag tests, there were no errors found.

It seems like this problem still occurs, but less worse. Now, the pc also will freeze, but the time it freezes is a lot lesser, the screen doesn't show up black parts, but the pc will be slowed down after it freezes for a couple of seconds...
