Hi, I was running AVG8 quite ok from the scheduler until I added a new SATA disk. Since then AVG hangs before checking anything when I use the scheduler. If I run it manually after I re-boot it runs fine. Looks like a scheduler conflict of some type. The only other scheduler that I am aware that is active is Spyware Doctor. I also have a VERY long period afet starting Acronis True Image now but it finally gives me a backup or restore screen as required. Its like its scheduler is screwed up as well though I am running that manually it still uses a scheduler. The AVG thing is a bit of a pain.

I have uninstalled it and re-installed as well as previously doing a "fix" install. No differnece. Should I uninstall and delete everything AVG as well?

Any ideas?

I don't think its AVG. I would check your install of the disk. IF you're having problems with multiple applications. Especially if you noticed these problems after the new SATA disk. I just bought AVG 8 and it runs perfectly. Ive used AVG Pro for maybe 4 years with no problem. So i would check that disk for errors or see if it has any recalls or updates or anything.
